Dead or Alive?

Dead or Alive?

A Poem by Md. Ziaul Haque

If you are breathing, then you are alive,

If your heart beats, if you can see,

Then you are alive;

You are not dead, if your heart misses me.

‘You are’ if you can think like Descartes,

If you do dream and wake up,

Yes you are not lifeless,

Standing for justice and saying the bad, ‘shut the hell up’.

You are not dead if you are here physically,

But your soul endlessly flies everywhere searching for humanity.
