I Love You More than You Can Ever ImagineA Poem by Md. Ziaul HaquePassionate loveI love you more, Than the number of stars, The sky tenderly holds in its heart, And the sands keep the water in the shore.
I love you more than the flowers bloom across, The world each night, The amount of raindrops by the earth taken in, And the farthest horizon that the birds long to cross.
The blue Mediterranean can barely compete, Against me since hold I like Atlas Telamon, In my chest the mighty heart, Resplendent with love’s heat.
It doesn’t matter to me whatsoever, If like Iago envies me the moon, If the rain-drops cease to plough, And the clouds forget to change colour.
I love you more than ‘more’, Loving you from heart’s core is all I know of, In my temple high you are as heaven, It’s you that I live and will smilingly die for. © 2014 Md. Ziaul Haque |
