Green

Green

A Poem by Md. Ziaul Haque
"

Nature-poem

"

Green is the colour,

That nature breathes in,

Synonymous it is to life,

And its welfare.

Pacifies the eyes,

Works as a healer,

Of mind, spirit and beyond,

And truly inspires.

So many poets in your praise sing,

All are of equal worth to thee,

Regardless of the commoner,

And the King.

Wordsworth, Coleridge and beyond,

Have never let the cascades of the souls go dry,

When it comes to thee,

With whom we do sustain an inseparable bond.

Like Aurora’s perpetual beauty, evergreen green should be,

I feel like being a lone bird while I’m not with you,

Impatient as the wind I become since,

It’s you that my eyes long to see.

She is your green? Great revelations to green. There are shades of it I'd rather not see but the grass, the trees do have the healing and pacifying hues. I enjoy just sitting to watch how the teases the trees as the squirrels and birds also each other in my backyard nature. You have captured the heart of green and brought it to life to breathe.

I've been reading many things as of late with the theme of Nature...this has a feel --- you give us --- your passion for the colour and exhibit that well in the lines of this verse...even in the end lines...you do not take your eyes out of focus...longing to see...

Thank you so much for reading my poem and commenting so nicely.
I find this refreshing, in that it has an opaque atmosphere that causes the reader to peer more deeply.
