The Collector

The Collector

A Poem by Zhavy
"

Debts Long Overdue & I Came To Collect

"

I tried to tell you my problems

But s**t I guess it’s all about you

Think it might just be time to bid you adieu

& start me a new I’ve learned to commit

Want to see my tattoos?

This isn’t a diss so don’t misconstrue

This IOU is well overdue

You might think something is off

But nothings askew under review

This so called “perfect fit” I’ve only outgrew

I’m just trying to right the wrongs I can never undo

There’s no revenue without a value

It’s time to reevaluate

Keeping tabs on the clocks cause it might be too late

Pain is bringing me down

& I’ve been dropping deadweight

I’ve spilled the first blood I opened The Shining floodgates

Cornered your King now it’s almost checkmate

Your rhyming riff poem seems to start out, trying to impart a more relaxed accepting attitude, but then your mood winds up to a fevered pitch of creative complaint. This message reminds me of how it often happens where two people in a relationship are each self-centered, so no conversation is ever satisfying, becuz each person only wants to be the one whining & being attended to! *sigh!* Fondly, Margie
