Alliterating AllegoriesA Poem by ZhavyNo matter the time of day, my mind is racing to erase heinous thoughtsSundown sunrise All I see is starry eyes She’s the flash on stormy nights Bae’s the knife that ends my life Endeavors extinguish light They bring a flicker to my flame I’ve been trapped inside the cave Can’t tell what’s real from what’s fake You need to know what to give So you can take what you need If were talking about me A six pack of the brew & some weed should just do it I needed a minute to think this all through Morbid alterations what’s happened too I got used to the way that it used to be too Using you using me I got used just to use Reevaluate the weight Amid the love & this hate Notice the fluctuations? Superseding expectations Know baby the loving I miss it It seems you’ve been so complicit Elicit Cupid’s arrow But I guess that he missed Fading away in this trip My brain’s been losing grip & my minds just out of touch I don’t dwell on to much Just know it’s never enough Too much down on my luck Know the horseshoes already flipped I can’t remember it But you remembered this Forever static in a stasis Strain to cover all the bases Let me sever all the strings I’m bringing it back to basic Creating false gods only manufactures Satan Perceiving a way out But it’s nothing but a way in Weigh in all the facts It doesn’t change I won’t be back © 2018 ZhavyAuthor's Note
