SongstepA Poem by Zethsayber1. 4/4: (There) We were, walking in step again in harmony; measured time.
6/8: Once again we strolled around the living labyrinth of rhythms ever changing with our tempo. Floating softly between the gaps, flowing with the music of the crowded sidewalks full of people.
3/4: But you slipped off while we waited between the rests.
5/4: (You) soothed that silent void in me, said “I love you” each night, each morning, through each day.
2. 4/4: (There) We were, resting in coolness, while melodies of silence chimed.
6/8: Once again I listened to your words, pianissimo of short and breathlessly lilting lyrics. I listened for minutes, for days, for weeks, building a crescendo of small but challenging problems.
3/4: We persevered through each practice and rehearsal.
5/4: (You) soothed that silent void in me, sang of our love each, night, each morning, through each day.
3. 4/4: (There) We were, singing in hand again, letting music bring us close. 6/8: Once again we sang together, composing our song of futures Turn again to the beginning and write a newer, brighter life. First repeat, then second repeat, third ending, live the finale
3/4: Nothing can harm our music, we’re ready to play.
5/4: (You) soothed that silent void in me, called for our love each night, each morning. Forever. © 2009 ZethsayberAuthor's Note
