Delight

Delight

A Poem by Zingaro
"

Translations: (German) Haus des Lebens- House of Love mein Schatz- My Treasure

"

delight

windy speech, do you know what Candle is?
it’s giving your ear to a demon ill with blandishments
bathing your bones in lukewarm summer morn’
and suckling the rationed dosage
it goes home sometimes and is nursed by a drunken carpenter-
slamming around the nail, creating a teetering Haus des Lebens
vague jumble of infinity, is what it is
landmarks in memory, pedantries, do you hear me?
it peals through your brain like a muffled bell
it’s leafing through the ash and shelves of flame,
mein Schatz, it is saturnalia for every shade of us.
