The first chapter :3

"If you had kids," Edward started. "what would you name them?"

"Eh?!" I almost knocked over my water and nearly choked on my fish. Where the hell did THIS come from?!

"Just a question, jeez," Edward said with a laugh. "I'm just curious with what you could come up with, honey."

"I told you not to call me that," I grumbled, spearing my fork into the fish. Ever since we got together, Edward's been annoying me by coming up with a bunch of these nicknames! It's seriously irritating me!

"Lighten up, it's a serious question," Edward said. "If you had a son or daughter, what would you name them?"

"What would YOU name them?" I countered, wanting to hear what he had to say first.

"Well, let's see," Edward said as he took another bite of his fish. "If I had a daughter, I'd name her....something pretty."

     "More specific."

"Maybe....I can't think of anything." He sighed in defeat, and said, "I know for a fact that you've been thinking about this. So, come on. If you had a daughter what would you name her?"

He caught me. I had been thinking about it...a little. But I'd never admit it.

"Um, well, for a girl I'd name her..." I felt my cheeks flush, knowing it was a stupid idea. "L-Lacey."

Edward grinned and said, "Because it's close to 'Lucy', right?"

"Shut up!" I shouted annoyed. Edward laughed and said, "Now, a boy is a whole different story! His name would be something cool, something unique, something to match his personality. Something like--"

"You probably want to name him Roy, after your favorite boss," I said, cutting him off.

He glared at me and said, "Lucy, no. Don't ever say that again, or I'll throw up, and blame it on you."

"That was a stupid threat, even if you were trying to be funny," I said, setting down my fork. "Who the hell are you going to blame?"

He started to say something, stopped to think, tried again, and then picked up his plate in defeat. "I'll clean up tonight," he said with a sigh.

"I'll help," I said, picking up my plate as well.

After a few minutes of silence and washing and putting away dishes, I finally asked, "Edward, why did you ask about kid's names all of a sudden?"

"You know," he replied. "Just a question."

"Like I said before, more specific."

"Well, I guess I've been thinking about it a lot lately," he said. "I don't know why."

"Hmph," I mumbled, drying a plate and setting it in it's cupboard. It's not like I haven't been thinking about it. But I'll never admit that to him.

     Yet, anyway.

______________________________________________________________________________

I really don't think a refresher's needed for my whole entire life, so I'll start with what happened when Edward started living with me in Resembool.

He was annoying. He complained that his room was to small and always begged me to allow him to make his room bigger using alchemy. I told him "no" about a million times, and that I didn't want him ruining my house with alchemy.

     He  sulked about it.

Soon, an old woman appeared out of nowhere and said she was my grandmother. Her name was Marn, who passed away not too long ago. I never really had the chance to get to know her.

A little while later came my nineteenth birthday, one I know I'll never forget. Edward gave me a locket with Fullmetal etched in the back to match a bracelet that his brother, Alphonse, gave me. It was too much for me to handle emotionally, considering I was the one who used to have no emotions at all until those two boys suddenly came into my life.

Edward and I weren't together at the time, but he was living with me. It was all a scam by him and the Rockbell's--Winry and her grandmother Pinako--so I wouldn't be alone at home. I'm not trusted to be by myself, considering my past. I'm pretty sure, that if things hadn't turned out the way they did--by that, I mean if Edward hadn't of come home--I probably would've ended up killing myself.

And yes, Edward did leave. He left with his brother to go study alchemy, which was pointless in the end. It was a plan formed by Winry and Alphonse to get Edward and I to confess our feelings for each other. Edward told me that after he thought about everything, and he realized his feelings, he got on the first train to Resembool.

But, during the time that Edward was away, things weren't so dandy for me. I began seeing things. I couldn't eat. I couldn't sleep. I could barely stay focused. Winry thought it had something to do with Edward being gone, but I wasn't so sure.

One night, when I was cleaning dishes, Envy was speaking to me. Note that he was supposed to be dead. He kept on saying, "Let the madness and insanity enter your mind" and stuff like that. Demented laughter escaped from me. I thought it was my inner Homunculus leaking out. It was the first time, but the second time it happened, things were a little different. Envy was in total control of my body. Until, I finally realized that what was happening wasn't real, and he got thrown out of my body or something. I'm still confused by everything that happened.

Envy ended up kicking me in the face, and in the stomach. And when I turned around (I heard Edward calling my name), Envy did....something, and I passed out.

After I woke up, I was home on the couch, and Edward was there, too. Things....kind of took off from there. Ever since that day, almost a year ago, we've been together. But we've never brought up what Envy did to me. It's not something either of us want to discuss.

Whoa. Great first chapter.. I wasn't expecting to finish read it though simply because its a bit long and I'm a lot hungry.
but i mean, its written in a way where once you start reading, even if you wanted to, you cant stop till its finished. You pull the reader in and keep us in your book's own world.
Which is a sign your a good writer and a sign that this is probably going to be a great read.. :)

But before I do continue on, I must go eat. -.-
