The air rippled around us. It seemed to glow green. I was focusing all of my alchemic energy to somehow decompose Envy, like I did when my alchemy turned me into a shadow. I was thinking that with enough power, as in three alchemists, we could pull that off.

Our engery was running low. I felt it. The air wasn't as heavy, and the green light faded away. Alphonse looked like he was about to collapse.

I finally shouted, "Edward, Alphonse, stop!" They both pulled their hands up, along with me, and the alchemy stopped. I felt dizzy and exausted, as did Alphonse, and he fell on his side, rolling off of Envy and to the dirt ground below.

"Al!" Edward shouted, getting up and jumping off of the dragon to his brother.

"What was I thinking?" I asked myself in a low voice. "Envy's a Homunculus, he can't die." I hung my head. "There's no way to kill him."

Right you are, Envy said, his voice actually hoarse with pain. It was a foolish attempt to try and kill me.

"So, how long until you're back on your feet?" I asked, knowing there was no point in trying to fight him.

I think I'll let it be a surprise, Pain, he snickered. Besides you, I'm the only Homunculus left. Father, Lust, Gluttony, Wrath--all gone.

     "How?"

Beats me, he said, starting to stir. I felt a pain in my chest, like my heart was about to explode.

"I can't take this anymore," I whispered. "I cant....! I can't!" I got my gun and aimed it at my forehead, thus firing.

But there was no amo left. I used it all on Envy. All the gun did was click.

I felt that cold rage again. The same rage I felt when I was helpless against that mad killer two years ago, the one who died because I slammed his head against a brick wasll as hard as I could about twenty times.

I knew now that it was my inner Homunculus trying to take over again. I didn't let it, but it's intention was loud and clear: Kill Envy.

I looked around, and saw a a huge chunk of glass stuck in a tree. I jumped off of Envy and ran over to it, ignoring Edward shouting, "What are you doing!??

I clapped my hands and used what little energy I had left to transmute it into a long glass spear.

"Look out!" Edward shouted. I quickly turned around, and saw that Envy was rolling over...about to crush Edward. But he jumped out of the way in time, his brother in his arms.

"That took a lot of energy out of him," I mumbled to myself. "I'm so stupid..." I shook my head and looked Envy up and down, trying to find out where his weak point would be. Envy had rolled over onto his back, blood still gushing from his eye. I guessed where his heart would be, and saw that there was just flabby skin covering his underside.

"Perfect," I whispered. I used alchemy again to make the spear a bit bigger and longer. It became a little more heavy, but I ignored that and charged Envy.

"What are you doing!?" Edward demanded, seeing what I was doing.

"Trust me!" I shouted back at him. I leapt in the air and aimed the point of the spear where Envy's heart would be. I landed on Envy's "stomach" and made me way to his "chest", positioning the glass spear.

I thrust it hard into Envy's flesh. He screamed and wailed, writhing around, blood actually spurting in the air. But when I impaled him, I heard a clank kind of noise. I pushed the spear harder into Envy, his screaming becoming louder and louder, his writhing strong enough to knock me off. It didn't occur to me that he could hit Edward and Alphonse, but there was no turning back now. I dug it further and further until it wouldn't go in anymore, and then I yanked it back out.

He screamed with one final breath, and when I took out the spear, there was a small red stone stuck in the end of it.

"Philosopher's stone," I said, my eyes widening.

You killed me, Envy said, now out of breath. He had stopped moving. You killed me, I can't believe you did it, you little brat...

Envy started to shake violently, and I jumped off of him, rolling on the ground near Edward and Alphonse.

"Lucy..." he said, staring at the spear. The stone on the end of it started to dissolve until it wasn't there anymore.

     "It's gone," I whispered. "Just like....Chiro's stone..."

"Chiro?" Edward asked, confused. I shook my head and looked to Envy. He, too, was disintegrating.

"You did it," Alphonse said weakly. "You...killed the monster, Lucy." I sighed, and dropped the spear to the ground, staring at Envy until he was completely disintegrated, nothing but a pile of dust on the ground mixed with a few green scales.

It was then that I saw the hot air balloon land a few yards away from the piled of Envy dust. Colonel Mustang climbed out.

"You're head's bleeding," the colonel said when he studied Al, Ed and I to see if we were okay. "It could be a concussion. Don't sleep, we don't want you to fall into another coma."

"Speaking of which," Alphonse said. "you woke up at a perfect time!"

"I suppose so," I said, my head down. Since all of the excitement was done, I used that time to think about all that had happened.

Everything was rushed. After being taken to that castle in Munich, to accidentally opening the Gate, to Alfons strapping Edward to a plane. My host body in Munich getting killed, thus throwing me back into the Gate, and my soul finding my body in Amestris, making my body wake from it's endless sleep. And then being thrown into battle, shortly after.

If Edward was here, that meant he made it through the Gate, and everything was fixed...except for the destroyed city.

     Job well done.
