High School Life

High School Life

A Poem by Zero_Edge88

My High School Life (Hollywood Part 1)

When I was in high school,
I grew up being classmates with
Britney Spears, Beyonce, and Uma Thurman
and right across my table
I had
Matthew Perry, Brad Pitt and Jim Carrey.

None of those people mattered though
because I was so infatuated at the time with
Jessica Biel, Emma Watson and even Sasha
Grey...(I mean rumor had it that she was one
of those girl next door that the guys wanted)!
I mean at the time I was friends with
Seth Rogen, Nathan Fillion and even Zach
Galafanikis but that was my junior year.

All of a sudden we had a flood of transfer students,
I mean one came into my French class where
Miss Blanchett was teaching, and it was Anne
Hathaway.
Then I made friends with another new student
Ryan Gosling but he apparently took my Emma Stone
only to dump her on our junior year! (D****e!)
Finally, came a beautiful girl, I couldn't believe she
was Russian first but when she told me few years later
that all those times I was playing my game
she was the girl on the other end of that headphone
and I said..."Mila?"

My homeboys were quite a motley crew themselves,
I had Jack Black, Craig Robinson, Jonah Hill too along
with Amy Poehler, Kristen Wiig and Lucy Liu but she
was hard to be friends with! I had to gain her trust for real.

I never got along with the jocks of the school but
I have to say being friends with Channing Tatum,
Alysa Milano, and Wesley Snipes was one of my
best turning points of my life.
I mean they were the linebacker, the dancer and
the quarterback respectively so I was in good hands.

But you know?

I had it out for Sarah Shahi! She was hot in high school

I thought wow, she looked pretty but let me tell you she

bloomed into such a great woman. Unfortunately yet

fortunately in my hand she wasn't in my school.

I thought I had it out there for myself until I met

Morena Baccarin the beauty she was on Prom Night!

I was like that woman is just not for me...

I mean she was with Russell Brand...what a waste!

And then that got away that I dream of…even though

she wasn’t even in my school to begin with but

an out of town she was, was Emily Blunt!

She was a nerd, a geek and a photographer with

that spectacular smile, sadly even though she

was at another school I don’t think I would have

had a chance of getting to date someone like her.

The student council was crazy I tell you much,

Our senior president was Tracy Morgan

but let me tell you...he was "impeached"

he was told off by Tina Fey saying he wasn't worth it!

So you know who they got instead?

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson!

I thought he was a cool guy I mean he did

have Eva Longoria as his girlfriend.

Let me tell you though,

I was brothers from a different a mother with

Snoop Dogg, LL Cool J and Jamie Foxx,

Because those guys always knew how to lay it low

Especially when it came down with meeting their girlfriends

I have to admit,

Kerry Washington, Keri Hilson and Alicia Keys were

great actresses on stage but then when they took it

down to the beat on the street oooh with their home-girl

Missy coming in from another school they swept the fool

that pity them.

If you thought those were cool my teachers were the best in

their field.

My teachers in chemistry

as you guessed it...Bryan Cranston and Ted Danson.

They were both quite motivators.

One taught me in ways that if I wanted to excel in the field pursue forensics.

As to the other he taught me that reality was bleak in some way.

My physics teacher however

was a very cool guy, his name was Michio Kaku.

All those times I thought having to play with

Tesla crystal balls were so awesome.

Did I tell you my AP Language Teacher was

this awesome Oxford graduate?

Oh Miss Beckinsale, I couldn't focus when I looked

into those eyes of yours.

You were really hot for teacher!

I sometimes thought you wore leather underneath

those vests of yours!

Came senior year though, I had this skeptical

but amazing AP Lit teacher...

Oh Mr. Walken your deep and profound

voice taught me that even the most difficult

people had it rough as well.

My US history teacher was Tommy Lee Jones and

he had plethora of stories for us as the bell rang

we would take about a good twenty minutes discussing

his past life before becoming a teacher.

He was an assistant principal at another school years ago.

Then came my European teacher

who was Melissa McCarthy as she was awesome!

She taught us a lot of things too but at times she let me sleep

but towards the end she told me not to because we all got

in trouble with Mrs. Fey and Mr. Pacino.

Algebra was fun actually with Mr. Reeves,

he taught me about how matrices was

worth crossing over and solving it was

integral just like in everyday situations.

Then I had an Economics teacher...

I often thought of Mr. Cheadle's lectures, but

it was all so lies! Why you were my economics

teacher I could never fathom!

At times I thought I lost myself but then

I often found again who I was when I approached

Professors Cheech and Chong saying, "Dave's not here man."

and all was right in myself because if Dave

was not there then where would I be?

However, such questions lead me to more skepticism

so I often went to get consultation from my guidance

counselors Robert De Niro and Gene Hackman.

As both men were retired officers

they provided me with such great guidance I couldn’t

pursue on my own time but they led me right back to it.

I mean Mr. De Niro had pictures of Tom Cruise, Viggo Mortensen

and even Matt Damon as for they are now serving in the military.

Mr. Hackman had Milla Jovovich, Gina Torres and Michelle Rodriguez…

yep he was married three times but still taught those beautiful girls how

to handle themselves.

Then there were times where I injured myself

for no reason at all and use it as an excuse because

Hugh Laurie and Jennifer Love Hewitt was there to examine us

for further injuries. I had to admit, looking at Nurse Hewitt was

a delight for sure… “Oh nurse would you cauterize me just a little

more to the left?”

Though did I tell you I had one amazing teacher for my P.E. class

on freshmen year and you know who it was? It was Larry Bird.

I mean there was two other teachers besides him but I ended up

with Mr. Bird first then we had to rotate and I ended up having

Mia Hamm who was into teaching us with dodge ball.

Senior year was different because I had to take weight training

and the man on the job at the time was none other than

Mr. Arnold Schwarzenegger, humble guy he was though, but then there I was introduced to

Jason Statham, Matthew McConaughey and Vin Diesel knuckleheads I swore.

I must say though I was into track and there I met,

Grace Park, Bradley Cooper and Coach Will Smith.

Grace was an amazing runner, but she was way out there.

Bradley, however, encouraged me to go and be a part of it.

However, Coach Smith said I couldn’t and I looked too big anyway at the time.

Then at times I found myself wandering in the great halls

where I saw myself looking up to

Freddie Mercury, Matt Bomer and Neil Patrick Harris.

They were actually the Theater Guys!

Every show and during my years were sold out.

I mean they had a great cast of women

Drew Barrymore, Claire Dames and Nicole Kidman.

The men were as equal too

George Clooney, Steve Carrell and Chris Hemsworth

So I approached Neil one day and asked them how he

gets his women and he says just be yourself.

Although how I had wished to have been part of the

literature group because it was headed by the great

Zooey Deschanel and her sister Emily was there too

but I felt trapped because they were both great writers!

Zooey however didn’t like my writing…she told me she wouldn’t

publish it but deep down she loved it.

Her sister, Emily was cool, as she gave me ideas to this day.

Did I mention that I had the greatest principal ever?

His name to this day will always be a reminder why I

attended high school.

I mean hearing his voice in those halls back then

meant that you knew you were going to be there

for a good year.

Thank you, Mr. Morgan Freeman.

My assistant principals were George Takei,

George Carlin and even Jack Nicholson…

All three men I admired because they taught me

a lot of things in life.

Be a man, embrace your humanity and don’t ever let

anyone tell you, that you can’t handle the truth!

Our founder was none other than Betty White…

I can’t say who she was but all four men admitted

they dated her at some point

And oh I must say, having Sirs William Shatner,

Ian McKellen or Patrick Stewart act as

substitute teachers at the time was awesome

because they all told us we can pass!
