heavy heart of society

heavy heart of society

A Poem by Michael William Fowler
"

just the random garble i usually spit out.

"

Battered bruised and beaten,

My heavy heart beats.

Preying for wings to give birth to freedom,

and fly my senses far from here.

To a place where the brutality of life,

and the ever eternal struggle of ‘day to day’.

Is no more.

Here we’ll be safe,

Secured from the shackles of society,

And the ever beating drum of deaths bard.
