Gasp...

Breathe...Please

I watch terrified 

The eyes I had been staring into

Were slowing oozing invisible tears

But I could feel the tears leaving the body

As if saying "I have to go, but i'm scared"

"Please don't leave me!" Through a hardened raspy breath

Pushing my hand harder, and harder down

The velvet red warmth moves through my fingers

I can feel my heart thundering in my ears 

Praying that my own strength can anchor this soul to the earth

Sirens flash through the shadows

Illuminating Hopes

"I Love You" A cheeky smile

"And I Love You" Cascading Liquid fills my eyes

Hope. So Close. It's my fault.

Collapsed. Final Breath.

Scream. She can't hear you anymore.
