Prologue

Since the beginning of time, humans thought that the stars are myriad of deities looking after them. To thank them for looking after mankind, people oversaw various rituals and decided to offer names to stars that were larger than the others.

People settled in diverse locations and followed unique cultures but all of them had one thing in common, " The worshipping of stars " Everything was peaceful for many centuries to come, until one day... A mysterious group dressed in black cloaks arrived and announced that they can absorb Mana from nature which can be used for various purposes. The head of the group referred to himself as Hakai.

Soon, the mysterious group began to impart the knowledge of magic to the people. Nearly everyone started learning it especially young people but the elders and priests thought that learning magic was a sin as it deprived nature of its beauty.

The priests allowed the learning of magic because they couldn't stop the people from learning them but when the group announced that they were going to harness the power of the stars, every single one of the priests banned them from entering the village forever.

This couldn't stop the people from learning because they went to the group secretly to learn powerful spells. This was the only thing that allowed the men in the cloaks to exploit the people into following them. Similar occurrences were happening in many villages and their fame started to explode.

This was the beginning of a new civilisation which was the goal of the men in cloaks. They started to call themselves People in the valley of the stars because they could harness the power of the stars.

The elders of many villages gathered and plotted against the new civilisation because they feared that it'll be an issue if every member in the village joined them. They had to use the very thing the men in cloaks used to gather the people, magic. One night, when the people of the stars were resting peacefully in their new settlement, the villagers attacked them and killed most of the people.

Hakai who was witnessing the terror from the mountains was heartbroken and fell into despair but soon, the despair changed into hatred. He swore revenge against humankind and went into hiding to gather the people who escaped.

The villagers didn't know that some people escaped from their attack. Even though the people of the stars had died, their teachings were passed down from generations to generations. Many great sorcerers emerged during this period which was called The Era Of Magic.

With great powers came a great hunger for more power.

When new powers were developed, the hunger for territory and resources made everyone go into wars. Countless lives were lost in the wars. Hatred bred more hatred and revenge.

Many people were hoping for an end to this meaningless bloodshed and the end they wished for arrived in the form of a person. This person later went on to become the strongest mage in the world, his name was Zeo Havenglow.

Though he fought in the previous wars he couldn't achieve anything but suddenly he had won the war. Many conspiracies were surrounding his sudden victory, most of them was that he was a part of the people of the stars who were rumoured to be the strongest mages even though there was no proof that they existed anymore while others were that he was a traitor to every single kingdom involved in the war.

These conspiracies didn't stop him from creating a government that had authority in almost all the parts of the world. The newly formed government was called the United Alliance. This was a turning point in history but this time it was for the better.

Magic had become an important part of people's lives. There's no place in the world where you won't be able to see magic. Everyone uses magic in one way or another. The world became a better place day by day. Even though there were crimes it still wasn't enough to shake the world.

After several years, Zeo passed away but before his death, he passed the leadership of the alliance onto his most trusted associate Shinrai. He believed that Shinrai will lead the world on the right path. As soon as Shinrai took control he took many measures to ensure that the world was peaceful...

But in his eyes, peace was something that can only be achieved by violence. To maintain peace he created many secrets organizations that were comprised of ruthless killers who are only alive to serve his orders. They carried out his orders without any questions.

Many people believed that no one will dare to mess with the new government and its head and his power will be absolute

No one at the time knew that in a few years, the world they knew would crumble before them just because of a single individual.
