Space Between Us

Space Between Us

A Poem by Azalea
"

It's been awhile since I posted something.

"

Think of me as a snapshot.

Art analysis of your daydreams.

I’m staring full face in front of you.

My softly creviced eyes of stars

you say they exploded passionately

(into you).

Cigarette smoke serpent curling into our cliche motif

like a silk slip dividing my skin from yours.

morals divide us from us,

our hesitation.

The most important words always unspoken

yet there is still visibility.

I can hear it through your mannerisms

and it is sweet like nectar

rolling down your chin, sticking between your fingers.

Streetlights blur behind me like industrial flowers in my hair.

I’m floating on your desires.

You with me in the back of the car

where no one can see

your arm unraveling along the seat

tracing your name over and over on the dunes of my neck

begging the wind not to erase it from the sand.

I really enjoyed this poem, and I’m looking forward to reading more of your pieces. I'm kind of new on here and it would be an honor if you can review my 4 new recent poems. (The world is ours, Nostalgia, Paradise, and You)

Thank you and Keep up the Good work!

May be you could use more punctuations to strengthen your sentences? Just a thought. Keep writing.
