Fading

Fading

A Poem by Zeik

As I fade into a place
That will never be the same.
I begin to lose my face,
Will I be able to keep my name?

I am stopping the change,
Picking up my pace.
Closing in the range,
I will win this race.

I am one
And I am alone.
Again I run,
From a life I do not own.

I see the end
Far from the start.
Wounds you cannot mend,
Now just scars on the heart.
