Just like rain

Just like rain

A Poem by Zee Langa
"

That moment where you thought your heart couldn't blossom again.

"
Look at the desert I used to call my life;
Crawling on my knees with hunger;
Seeing a mirage of what I long for.
Oh, when will you rain down on me again?
When will your love touch this rough skin of mine?

Look at the dry surface of my love.
I never thought it'd be fertile enough for love.
But your rain has purified the imperfections of my heart.
Oh, what beautiful showers of rain coming down on me.
Look at the flower of love blossoming in me now.

Look at the sky covered with dark clouds.
Fear crept in to the deepest parts of my bones.
But your rain brought to my life what we call beauty.
As I stare into the rainbow...
I cry like the rain to be loved by someone like you.
