Simple Love: The Cliches Of A Sonnet

Simple Love: The Cliches Of A Sonnet

A Poem by Darl Nightingale
"

Oh, how the sonnet has such strict form and rules.

"

I could not approach You so long ago.

You sat simply Silent, Scared, far away.

Although there isn’t much I claim to know,

Your Perfect Beauty, bliss is here to stay.

I hold your sweet Love in my arms for now...

I stay forever if You stay with me.

My love I will show You, but Dearest, How?

Your Beauty Divine, sunlight through a tree.

I sit here alone when You are far gone...

A silent tear escapes down my coarse cheek

knowing You, My Love, are the Warm Dawn.

You sit Patiently while my knees go weak.

I’ve loved You for very long my Dear Friend,

And as I breath, Our Love will never end.

This is really sweet.
It tells that no matter how much someone doesn't notice us, we would still love each and every edge of them. You really deserve much more views. Keep writing :)
