If Time Stood Still

If Time Stood Still

A Poem by Darl Nightingale
"

A more traditional love poem.

"

If time stood still, we’d have time to learn it all.

Preposterous thoughts and melancholy feelings fall.

A bit ironic to have all the time we need

If time is stationary and nothing seems to bleed.

But behold the time when time is not our master.

When patience is rewarded! and not just going faster...

When we can sit and ponder all there is to ponder

or even be gifted with travel and wonder where there is to wander.

If time stood still we’d never be afraid.

And every person would have time to be fully made.

Love would last eternally in a never setting sun

And with the ones you love? Forever have your fun.

Time stands still when I’m with you.

It all stops and I don’t feel blue.

But when you leave it starts again...

A vicious cycle, to never end.

This is indeed a great job!
I really liked the last paragraph. How everything just stops when you are with someone you love.
And its a topic we all wish so much to be true. Everyone wishes that time should stay still. But I think it shouldn't. Because everything has its destiny. Everything has to end or else the world would be affected a lot.
Enough of psychology. I liked this :)
