The Sea Side Poem

The Sea Side Poem

A Poem by Zee Norton-Williams

The Sea Side Poem;

Hear the sound of moving feet

A piter patter on the roof

Wind blowing

Rain drops splashing on the roof

Falling down the windowsill

Winter winds seeping through

The snoring sounds as dawn approaches

The roaring sea

The splashing tides

The old sand being replaced

New sand as sharp as glass

Rocks getting pounded

And slowly being corroded

As creatures being and small gather up

On the shore

In the rock pools form

This is the new home for those so small

Till morning comes

Little boys climb

Little girls explore

The search in the rocks for the pool so full

Pools full with tiny crabs

The children collect them

Playing their games

Till night fall comes once again

The tide takes back the creatures so small

For fun to be had

For another day will bring them back
