Shattered Glass

Shattered Glass

A Poem by Zee Norton-Williams
"

If you break a glass you can put it back together but there's always little shards missing no one loves with out losing a few shards.

"
Shattered Glass

Shattered glass, like the past,
looking through a looking glass
seeing cracks,
the shards of glass.
That's my heart,
look at it as broken glass
sharp to touch, a pain to fix
The cracks in the glass,
that's the past.

In my heart,
the wounds to sharp,
the holes to big.
The pain you caused.
This now my heart,
this broken glass.

I really liked this, and its a clever metaphor; relating a heart to glass, but it seems a bit small, adding more imagery would make it even better!

this is good could be bigger, paint the heartbreak with imagery/metaphors (i.e. maybe a roaring ocean, or wandering around in a desert)

Nice personification of the broken glass to past heartaches.

nicely composed verse, & well compared with gone and forsaken and forbid past. the shimmer of glass is more like unbroken past which oft. wakes us all ov'rnight, and when this shimmer's finally "shattered" into the slate of pieces, something magical happens which either takes us beyond the horizons or leaves us being so forbidden in the misery of broken-ness. a very fair and fine poetry you come to drip down in such wounded-words. liked the way how smoothly you swag upon your own thoughts. very eye-catching, & admirable for sure. certainly considering this write one of my fav. for sure.

Sad but true. Your poem does exactly convey the reality that there is no superglue in the world for a broken heart
