Down with the warmongers and aggressors

( A poem I wrote in earlier months when muslims were being killed in Palestine, Syria, Iraq, but it still applies in recent refreshed genocides.  )

Wars round the corner,
wars at every bend
Could it be that all this warring
would never ever end?

Mass massacre and genocide
is what we fear and apprehend
Selfish apartheid oppressing poor folks
On suppressing others they depend!

Why can't folks borrow love
and peace too learn to lend?
For peace-loving persons
wars are hard to comprehend

But in which blessed century
will the world its ways amend?
Why not be all sincere
when peace they recommend?

Its hard to not avenge the dead
So to revenge and defend
some will feel the need to offend
(Yet the oppressed victims die more)

Why can't we all as Adam's progeny
simply unite and blend?
The world's tearing apart,
which saviour's gonna mend?
When the scissors of tyranny
all peace efforts ruthlessly rend!

When will all the saviours
from heavenly heaven descend?
So we watch and hear all war cries
unto thin air ascend!
When peace be the only choice,
the only probable trend!

Ah, instead of fending off war drums
why peace plans off we fend?
Why peace is so complicated
and double standards at every bend?

Will all state treasuries on aggression alone
their budgets, finances spend?
Why can't every foe we know
turn into a caring friend?

So we're stalked by friendship
and ambushed by love godsend!
A world where warlords
and  war heroes become zeroes
who in the first place did offend.

With peace may no nation
merely play and pretend!
Hypocrisy is calling freedom fighters terrorists
while State bombing and shelling they never end.

Dear Zaynab, I want you to read my words carefully.
As an Iranian person, who has felt living under the cruel regime ruling over Iran with his bones and skin, I can tell you that neither Iran's government truly cares for Palestinians and neither the so called humanitarians in Western countries care for human rights. The world is a big catastrophic tragedy that is hidden behind the comedy of human rights mentioned by western governments.
Iran's government has made a hell for Iranian people, and at the same time shows great mercy for Palestinians. Israel's government shows a propaganda of the current war and the global media supports their lies. Israel is no different to Nazi regime, the only difference is that Adolf Hitler wanted to kill Jewish people and deport them from their home in Europe but B.B Netanyaho wants to deport Palestinians. So you might ask what should our opinion be towards this issue?
I say that we should not curse Palestinians because of foolishness of Hamas and other groups. We must care for the "people", no matter they are Jewish, Muslim or Atheist. Unfortunately, politicians do not think as you and I do. They prioritize their own benefits and at last, their own country's benefit.
We, people of Asia, have lost the war. Today, we are modern slaves. We are ruled by dictators, who are tough towards their own people. At least, Western governors benefit their own people but here(Iran, Iraq, Syria, Gaza, Afghanistan and etc...), governors kill their own people but suddenly seem kind for the people of other countries. Why? For example Iran's government has many trained terrorists from Iraq, Syria and other Arabian countries to bring horror to Iranian people when they protest.
That's the sad story of today's world. We should be wise and not be naive. I've been reading and analyzing history for a long time. Trust me, we have no choice but to read history, to raise our knowledge and not to follow the media blindly. May peace and happiness come soon for the People of Gaza and those in Israel who are not a freelancer of Zionists.

Ok Nima, I think you must be Christian bit Hmm now read carefully what is my assessment of your situation. You shouldn't single out Iran , there are many even non Muslim countries that quell and quiet riots and rebellion the way Iran does. France treats those who disobey the hijab ban similar to how Iran treats those that rebel against its laws, both are wrong but western people and Christians who condemn Iran won't condemn France . Even western governments kill and quell rioters.
Iran has to show solidarity with Palestine like all Muslim countries but it might be more sincere than Saudi or UAE.
You said so many right things against Israel and western media, so true but Netanyahu doesn't want to deport Palestinians, he wants to ethnic cleanse exterminate them. Hamas puny revenge attacks do no good but are a result of years of frustration at apartheid. Even rabbis, Jews condemn Israeli government actions.
I indeed care for all peoples and believe no one should use violence but you can't let Israel continue killing and tell hamas to stop their powerless weak struggle and resistance.

I'm too aware of the global propaganda. France and England and United States and even Germany, today are just a hologram of Democracy which Benjamin Franklin, Abraham Lincoln and Aristotle. You see, each country is using "human rights" depending on their benefit. Iran uses this for Propaganda, France uses this to present itself as a Good country and so the others as well. Only people will suffer.
I'm not Christian. I don't believe in any religion, but I believe in humanity and I feel God. The problem is not which religion we have, is that we believe in being a human or a rat? Surely Netanjahu is a rat. So was Hitler. The list goes on. Believe me, even the headmasters of Hamas and other clowns of the middle-east do not care for their people. I believe my religion Islam is the only humanitarian one if we follow its book Quran so yes I'm all for humanity and humanitarian rights. But hamas cares for Palestinians, why else would they try to fight for Palestinian rights?

No bro you got that wrong, muslims never refused land , jews and Muslims stayed peacefully under ottoman rule until British and zionists conspired to make Israel a state and it usurped more and more Palestinian land leaving them to a much smaller strip and even that the Israelis bomb it from time to time. Most Muslims support Palestine and many fair just non Muslims including Jewish rabbis do too. Hamas doesn't want to remove zionists, Israel wants to exterminate Palestinians completely and they are really doing it via large-scale bombing, hamas can't and won't fo that.
Palestinians want a fair share of their own land, the land belongs to Palestine as much as U.S belongs to Americans, remember there were red indians there before them.

Yeah true that everyone screaming for peace can't bring it, because those in power rather kill for material interests and greed just like you put it.
And i hope it is known that those who make cries of death to America or israel are not the ones who would actually kill or harm anyone for theirs is just verbal protests and frustration but rather the ones who actually are doing the mass massacre and genocide are the real danger to humanity and are the real terrorists. It is these super powers that kill for greed and power.
The victims are Palestinians those who are being killed for their race, belief and land.
Those in charge are the most irresponsible perpetrators of genocide and ethnic cleansing yes. Poor Palestinians killed fir bo shortcomings ever .
And trust me dear it is not gods actually which keep us apart, it is the hunger for power and material greed at the expense of innocent lives lost is the root of all unfair war.
And if democracy was real the people ought to have voted and endorced a ceasefire unless the majority are all in favour of genocide of innocent natives the Palestinians.

I agree that man made religion and corrupted religious text may have been used to kill inmocents but no true original and truly divinely revealed scripture ever allowed killing of innocents for religion or land, the one true God only allowed warring those who came to war and attack the believers or to avenge. But corrupted religious text asks to kill women and babies even and trust me the original Torah and injil didn't just like today's Quran too didn't allow starting a war or killing for religion unless the offenders have started the aggression. So only corrupted religious text encouraged killing for religion in offfensive and that's why the Christians and jews killed so many.
And divine religious laws only protect humanity not control them for mere fear and obedience. Take the real Islamic Quranic laws they just protect us and guide us and are far better than man made laws.
Im glad you realise the years of israeli offensive aggression against the poor natives who welcomed them as refugees.

Dear, dear i have to clarify that there is no stoning , beheading, burning at stake , starvation punishment mentioned in the Quran nor allowed in it and i believe it wasn't there in the original bible and Torah even if it is there now in the adulterated versions of today.
And being obliged to your creator just so you can have a guided life is good for us rather than fending for ourselves without guidance and moral support.
And force is not allowed in our religion as Quran clearly states, 'let there be no compulsion in religion '.
Im not trying to convert anyone but i do feel a great need to see people facts about religion so they don't judge what i believe in negatively with false info and result in hating it. I like your Voltaire quote, you don't have to follow my religion but let me say what's true about it and what's not.

I was a soldier for 15 year. I saw Baghdad before and after the war. They destroyed the oldest and most beautiful city in our world. It is sad what men do. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

I've read many a poem before about such a thing as hideous as war ...I choose not to speak of politics in the contemporary, but I will say of conspiracies, coups, foreign lines, resources, power, religions...etc, they all seem to come from the same source ...Greed. You have written a genuine gem and article for display. I can almost hear Shakespeare's Shadow crawling throughout. All the elements that make a poem sing are present and accounted for. but in pondering over these "slings and arrows of outrageous fortune" I wonder what architects would create for destruction and did they not ponder over such a thing as the courage that allows us to spare ourselves by merely letting Death hammer away at its toy. Um dear dear poet, the Islamic holy wars as led by the prophet were always in defence or revenge only allowed by God and the enemy outnumbered the muslims always, yet were defeated miraculously. So those were different and women and children weren't allowed to be killed.
The bible prophets on the contrary carried out brutal offensives according to bible asking to kill even women and babies.

Hi Zaynab, I love this poem. It's a cry for peace. It is especially timely with the war happening between Israel and Hamas. My heart goes out to the Israelis and the Palestinians. I watched the news today about two captives being released. I hope the war does not escalate. I also care about the people in Ukraine and the conflict they have been going through with Russia. I love your first stanza:

I wondered about that. I'm sorry that the Palestinians have suffered so much. When my children were little, we were travelling. I think we were in Washington DC and we decided to visit an Israeli church because we were interested in the culture. I ended up sitting in the children's room while my children played and I talked with a woman who was a Palestinian. She told me about their suffering and I was real surprised. I was pretty ignorant back then about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Sadly, we were associated at the time with fundamentalist Christian churches that used Bible verses like Genesis 12:3 to encourage blind support for Israel. I accepted that for awhile because I sympathized with the suffering they'd gone through during the Holocaust. I came to see that there are two sides to a story.

Wow! A heartfelt poem many of different cultures and faiths will wholeheartedly agree. I guess the answers are complicated because the causes of conflict are many and varied, but mainly driven by fear and greed, and let by dictators or politicians. Most ordinary citizens of every culture and every faith would choose the path of peace. Let’s not forget perspective, for example you wrote this because of Muslims being slaughtered yet the recent escalation in Israel started because of Muslim atrocities visited upon Jews and others? In reality power corrupts, fear and manipulation of fear the catalyst for many wars. Add greed and fear of famine and thirst and fear of attack and we have the perfect storm. Thank you for penning your plea for humanity to rule no matter your faith or culture.

I still hope all sides can live peacefully without oppressing the other side , they did it in the past when Israel didn't want the largest unequal share and most benefits and land.

So far as I understand history Jews have exited in Palestine since time began, at least before the person Christians call Christ. I do know about the modern history in that the Ottomans were ejected from Palestine after thje first world war and in 1947/1948 the UN created the state of Israel. I also know the Palestinians are oppressed people and the situation in Israel has swayed between war and oppression for decades with attrocities on both sides. There is no excuse for targetting civilians and women and children and people atending civil conceets with no religious or national agenda. Two wrongs never add up to a right!. In Ireland, even though not solved, the terror ended when both sides agreed to stop.

And atrocities are far less committed by hamas and Palestinians compared to Israel's super power backed and provided carpet bombs and air strikes weapons massacres.
You can't just talk of civilians at a concert being killed without mentioning the far more civilians, women, children that have been killed in Israeli Air strikes and carpet bombs all these years and even recently. Civilians even in a hospital. So both sides are wrong but Israel is far far much more wrong since ages of genocide done by then.

No dear trust me I'm not just taking sides unfairly, if far more jews Israeli civilians women and children had Bern killed like Palestinians have been killed in large-scale massacre and genocide plus apartheid and oppression in open air prison with blocks in place, I wouldn't have supported the Palestinians, I would have condemned them and supported the oppressed. I never condone violence from any side but I would always support the victims of ages of large-scale massacre and genocide which is only the palestinian side. The palestinians are not able to carpet bomb airstrike large-scale masses, hospitals, schools etc like Israel is doing.
