We have so many things that are allowed to be eaten, we should be careful to avoid what is not allowed by God. And we should be thankful for all divine blessings
From the bottom of my heart
I thank you God 🕋
for the honey bee🐝
for all that liquid gold
that's bought and sold
It's precious honey from its tiny womb🍯
Yes Allah bless thy crispy honeycomb.
In Holy Quran honey's described
as a liquid of healing!
So in gratitude to God
I'm bowing and kneeling .🕌
And thankyou God for bleating sheep🐏'
for their soft warming fluffy wool
or the cold makes the babies weep
as they need warm clothes when cool.
Thankyou Allah for the
Mother hen
for its sizzling omelettes and scrambled eggs🥚🥚
and for delicious tikka tandoori drumstick legs!
And God alone we should be thanking
for the calf's milk that we are sharing and taking
for milkshakes, and cakes have to be baking🍼🥛🍰
And thankyou Allah for the little silkworm🐛
Silken dresses have long been the norm
Be thankful to God for deer's musk,
and chops and steaks of venison 🦌
And for roasted lamb or brie mutton 🐐🐏🥩🍖
Gratitude to God for slippery, flippery fishes🐋🐟🐠🦈🐬
for tasty succulent seafood dishes🦐
We need the omega 3 fatty acids found in fish fillets🐠
Thank Him before frying them in pans and skillets.
Thank you God for all that's a meal
From paneer cheese to grilled calf's veal
Last but not least, thank God for the myriad fruits and vegetables 🥕 🍉🍊
He alone created for our salads, these nutritious, edible eatables
So much variety of food don't partake of the haram forbidden
lest with disease you are left ailing and bedridden!🌬🛏
So thankyou Allah for all that food 🍽🕋
If we thank Him not we're ingrates rude .
🥝🍏🍇'🍋"🥖🥐🍞🧀"🍟🥪🍿🥟
Yes, we should always be thankful of the bounty of this world. Not always does everyone reap such a reward. There are hungry people, and so, we must share our wealth with those who need it most, in order for everyone to have enough to live their lives. In a way, their success is a way to give back. As they will surely help others in turn.

Cheers!
Well, this is a recipe for healthy eating, a celebration of the wonderful variety of food we have, and a poem of praise to the God of the Universe. We need to praise and to give thanks, for gratitude breeds contentment and a positive attitude to others. So thank you for your poem and for your sweet and wholesome thoughts...

S zaynab Kamoonpury,
Yes the gracious grace of joy runs all through this poem. I like how it is a happy and appreciative look at the bounty of the earth. We get to enjoy and find strength and sustenance. To know hunger is not seen here and I have to admit I thought about those who have been in this kind of poverty. I digress. Anyway a lovely write!
Blessings,
Kathy

Your poem, despite being written from a Muslim point of view, it's not much different than the way a Christian might pray with thankfulness & probably other religions, too. But at the same time you teach us a few things about your religion, not like you want to convert people, but just to show us what your daily practice is like & showing how we all have common thoughts & practices. Great details & fun playfulness (wordplay like "slippery, flippery fishes") & very upbeat about life in general, as shown thru the things this narrator is thankful for. (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

So the gratitude is common to all religions eps the three that we believe were from God such as Judaism, Christianity and Islam .
I'm glad you noticed the playful lightness of this poem as that was also my intention.
Take care and enjoy divine bounties pal.
Such a lovely write of thanksgiving. Your spirituality shines throughout your poem. Lydi*

Your wonderfully grateful words call out from such a trembling world. We should remember what most of us have... but also, remember those who have far less, my friend. Your poem - each every word is truly giving, thank you for letting me read and share. Em

I'd say he's been a busy fella and the food he's done tastes especially swella
let's hope he keeps it up
that we can forever sup
and if I can get his attention
there is another mention
I'd like to see him flirt
with at least one more desert
