Kissing by Rain

I figured it would be cliche to say kissing in the rain. So I titled it kissing by rain. It is a self explainatory poem about haveing your first kiss with your special someone in the rain.

 

Kissing by Rain

The gentle cool drops push us to one,

My pounding heart matches the constant pace of the rain,

When our eyes meet my face burns like the sun,

Close together we can feel not the chill that causes pain,

Deep and true love starts with only a friend,

My eyes gleaming with a radiant glow,

Our knees grow weak and start to bend,

Then our faces grow closer and closer together very slow,

It is not fear that slows our goal,

No, the rain hides from sight the tears of joy that stream down our cheeks,

The sensation of our lips meeting at last set a fire deep in my soul,

My heart skipped a beat when we finally got what we each seeks,

“I have heard it said that it is in the first kiss that you can feel love there,

If that is the case then there is no where I’d rather be than kissing you here.”

KBR is a very lovely & sentimental journey of your 1st kiss.. Wish mine had been as romantic.. Beer breath leaves something to be desired..
