When you...

When you...

A Poem by Lee, that's simple
"

This was an attempt at a sonnet that I wrote my senior year in high school. I was the only student in my british lit. class to write one this sucessful.

"

I need to hear you say you love je vrais,

My heart is dead until I hear you speak.

One thing in time did make new fate in May,

But now we cheer a day Monday a week

Away. This love is true by now we know

But free we are not yet till June of eight

The day when freedom will reign as I go

No tears to me for I am not Death's mate

I say this is a note in the heart's word

When our lips touch the sky falls at my feet

This heart of mine skipped a beat I heard

With warmth, desire, happiness too we greet

As is all here not all is good like doves

Bad things may take place even when someone loves.

I am not to sure if this follows the proper format that a sonnet is supposed to. Please comment so if it does not.

Umm i dont know what a sonnet is.... i am not really a trained poet and know nothing about the tecnicalities of them. But I do feel emotion within words carefully choosen to sit next to each other.
I like this, its has loads of love in there.
Keep writing.
