Swimming Alone

Swimming Alone

A Poem by The Fallen
"

It's a choice we all make but too often are we wrong about it.

"
Everyone hurts.
Everyone feels that pain.
Sometimes it's the body,
A broken arm or sprained ankle.
Sometimes it's the mind,
Thoughts of the future and what it holds.
Sometimes it's the soul,
Someone you love not coming back to you.
When we are hurting,
We all need someone to be there with us.
Yet we deny this.
"I'm fine"
"Nevermind"
"It's okay"
Excuses and lies,
From a hurting spirit.
Carrying a weight by ourselves,
Rather than sharing our burdens.
Why swim alone,
When a friend is waiting with a raft?

The Fallen
I want my new writings to capture and expand more on my passing thoughts. They might seem disconnected or rough but I hope you can still follow...

About
I am a young writer, student, philosopher and many other things. I enjoy the beauty of life but I am cursed with the ability to see the darker side of humanity in its truest form. We all seek to rise .. more..
