Swimming AloneA Poem by The FallenIt's a choice we all make but too often are we wrong about it.
Everyone hurts.
Everyone feels that pain. Sometimes it's the body, A broken arm or sprained ankle. Sometimes it's the mind, Thoughts of the future and what it holds. Sometimes it's the soul, Someone you love not coming back to you. When we are hurting, We all need someone to be there with us. Yet we deny this. "I'm fine" "Nevermind" "It's okay" Excuses and lies, From a hurting spirit. Carrying a weight by ourselves, Rather than sharing our burdens. Why swim alone, When a friend is waiting with a raft? © 2017 The FallenAuthor's Note
