Nature of Man

Nature of Man

A Poem by The Fallen
"

It is the nature of man to defy the rules set upon us.

"
Rules were made to be broken.
Something we've all heard before.
But this is more than just an assertion,
I mean take a moment and think about it.
Just consider the notion.
When told what to do,
Why do we resist?
When told what not to,
Why are we compelled?
It is Our nature to defy.
To disobey.
A Universe that rejects life,
Yet here we exist.
A planet of predators, prey, disasters and ice ages,
Yet we survive.
A world of violence, death and destruction,
Yet we march on.
A society that says we aren't good enough,
Yet we prove otherwise.
Truly we are creatures of defiance,
Of resistance and disobedience.
To nature and ourselves.
When we can defy even the universe,
At odds and probability...
What can't we do?

The Fallen
I want my new writings to capture and expand more on my passing thoughts. They might seem disconnected or rough but I hope you can still follow...

I am a young writer, student, philosopher and many other things. I enjoy the beauty of life but I am cursed with the ability to see the darker side of humanity in its truest form. We all seek to rise .. more..
