Vows

Vows

A Poem by Marion Finnerty

Hands brushed against

Tangible click of metal on metal

Wedding bands

Thin band of gold

Wide engraved silver

A smile

A blush

      Callused hand whispering across silken

      Static attraction

      No real beginning or end

Simply time spent together at work

Maybe a little too much enjoyed

I was sitting in a meeting and there was a charge between a couple colleagues that peaked for a moment. I've seen office crushes before but what stood out for me this time were the wedding bands. :)

Wow this one just made me feel all giddy and romantic.
Nothing better than chasing something seemingly out of reach.

This is nicely said. Interesting how those office crushes work out isn't it.
