Dreams

Dreams

A Poem by Trillian

At night my thought's are abundant
So much so my sleep is reluctant.
I lie, enthused
My brain overused
Then my eyes shut, my sleep is triumphant.

Reality now ceases to exist
My mind controls me and I can't resist.
Though why would I want to stop free entertainment?
These fantasies excite me beyond containment.
Please dreams, captivate me, I insist!

Though you can be frighteningly strange
Sometimes you even make me feel deranged,
You never, ever are boring.
Though I might not remember you in the morning
Please dreams, keep me entertained!

Very good poem!:3
I guess you could say this is how I feel when I am about to go to sleep. Back on the real topic, I enjoyed this poem a lot.

I'll have you know that I read the first line of this and paused a Brantley Gilbert song in order to read the rest- that says something, because anything intriguing enough to pause that man's beautiful voice is certainly lovely. (: I loved this so much. I thought the ending stanza was different, but the flow was nice. It was one that I reread a few times to make sense of, but in a good way. All in all, I really enjoyed this, and I look forward to reading more of your work. x
