Valkyrie

Valkyrie

A Poem by Zane Kunning
"

"

The dress is wearing thin on those young girls
Bending in folds far too soon
As with with eager framed eyes,
They turn
To the Valkyries in the runway
And plead to be taken
On aviatic highs.
Flurries of feathers
As with cream-colored skies,
They turn
To the mirrored doors in the flowered beds
Deathly mistaken
Of bleach-broken dyes.
