The seductive scent that brings you in ever so close

 

Red rose

That vibrant color reeling you in

Silently beggin you to pick it as your own

 

Aww...the red rose

Teaches such a wonderful lesson

Even something of such beauty can cause pain

well, it's not the rose actually causing pain - it's the thorns :). so it wouldn't actually beauty causing pain, but what is keeping it safe and away from those trying to cut out its life :). it's just the rose's self-preservation instinct - after all, a withered rose in your hand is not as beautiful anymore as the one you saw before picking :).
