Finding the Light

Finding the Light

A Poem by Cats Eye

So you want me to find the light

Well I must say

That I live in the light everday

Finding the light

Will not help my pain

Only bring me warmth

My emotional ties are everchanging

For me to be truely happy

I must first express my very being.

sweet and simple and almost rebellious against those who tell you you live life incorrectly. i like it.

Being in the light is usually viewed as the way to heal, but here it's finding one's self that is the true change. Not a matter of opposites with dark and light, but of finding the balance that makes things feel as they should. This short poem gives birth to thought about those things to the reader (in my experience with the poem.)

Very inspirational and full of wisdom that everyone can learn from. Those last two lines really sum it up.

Nice and simple and to the point. It's both positive and negative. Negative because "Finding the light / Will not help my pain". Positive because you "live in the light everyday". It's simple and it makes the reader think. Keep up the great work.

Hard to stay in the light too long. Few people want to be seen and heard all the time. I like the ending. The words are true. The ever changing emotion is never content to stay in one place too long. A outstanding poem. Thank you.

Short and sweet. The best sort of poem. It has a nice feel to it and a good message.

This is an amazing little poem. Nothing more needing to be said because the point was excellently made. Nicely written with a natural flow to your words, ending with three lines that I can understand and live by this very moment. One can only be happy when they are permitted to be themselves, able to express their minds and hearts to the fullest. I love this poem.:)

Very thoughtfully said, for the truest light does indeed come from ourselves. Anything else is just a warm security blanket of sorts. At least for me. Thanks for sharing.
