Watching

Watching

A Poem by Cats Eye

People walk by the rows of kennels
The dogs run up to greet their visitors
Tails wagging as they sit
Their sad eyes follow you every movement.

They watch as you leave them
They lie down depressed
Another day, another visitor
Another hopes dream vanished.
