Day of Silence

Day of Silence

A Poem by Cats Eye

Can you hear their voices?
They sit silence
Supporting their cause
No matter what others may say

They show that silence
Can be louder then words
They sit the whole day
Supporting their beliefs

They show others
That it’s ok to stand up
For what they believe is right
They give hope to those they support

Discrimination
Is just another word to them
In the vast dictionary
This world has created

I stand among them
Keeping quiet
As I support my cause
No matter the harassment I get, I stand proud.

I loved this. Potent words and even more potent emotion. Enjoyed.

I truly like the form your poem takes, the words and phrases you use - ' ... they sit silence, supporting their cause...'

If this is the opinion you hold, I agree with it; sometimes saying nothing makes a great deal of noise. Better 'sit silence' than not sit at all.

This is the first of your poems i've read... will continue the adventure as of now..
