True Love?

Something I wrote when I was angered

 

What is true love?

Is it not supposed to be of trust?

Surely it is not consisted of lies

Yet I’m left in the dark

 

What is true love?

Should it not be held together with respect?

Where both keep promises not just one?

Yet here I stand in a pool of tears

 

What is true love?

Is it no supposed to be made of loyalty?

Where you keep to your word?

Yet here I am with the feeling of loss

 

What is true love?

Is there such a thing?

In these times of chaos and greed?

Such a thing to this world may never exist.
