Memories

A Poem by Cats Eye

When I was young
I used to sit and watch the clouds go by
I’d spin till I got dizzy
I’d fall back and watch the world spin before my eyes

I had no fear
That was evident
I could run for countless hours in the heat
I’d ride my beloved bike up and done the street

At night we used to sit down at the table
As a happy family
We used to sit and watch one television show
With out a fight occurring

Late on everything began to fall apart
Little by little
We left that happy family part
In the past, each year a new one was added

While she slept all the day
The other sat in front of the computer all day
Only talking to us when we got in trouble
Or when we were sent outside

While she was at work
He’d talk to other women online
Before they’d get off he’d tell them
Baby I love you

The world before me began to fall apart
One day he was there
The next he was not
There is not a day that I don’t wish for him to come back.

It was very moving. I understand what you mean as I get older I feel like me and my family keep drifting apart. We might as well be floating on our own continents.

courtney, i promise i wouldnt ever do that kind of s**t to you. i, personally, feel your dad is an a*s. sorry to say, but i dont think he desurves four beautiful girls as his own. he shouldnt be a father if he doesnt know how to dedicate his life to the children he helped brought to life.
