A Poem by Cats Eye
"

Dedicated to my baby sister, who I never get to see anymore.

"

I remember when you were small
You were as bright as the midday sun
Your laugh was so adorable
You had no teeth but still loved to smile

I remember when you were small
Your hand fit in the palm of mine
Your were so sweet and innocent
You hand that mischievous glint in you eye

I remember when you were small
When I was crying you’d be there
Asking what was wrong
Making sure that you brought a smile to you big sisters face

I remember when you were small
We used to play video games
You would always manage to win
Even if you were only four

I remember when you were small
You used to wake me up in the morning
We’d go down and eat our breakfast together
And then sit and watch all you Disney movies together

I remember when you were small
You used to play with my hair
Put play make-up on me
And return my glasses to me with my lenses full of smudges

I remember when you were small
I got to hear your voice everyday
Now I get to here it only every now and then
When it’s time to get off the phone, its just so hard to let you go.

Such a warm and tender poem. I can tell that your relationship was very special. I'm glad that you can still talk with her, even if it's just on the phone.
Good Job!

awww this is lovely! it really touches your heart! reminising the old days with your sibling is great. but its such a shame how distance can leave a void. i really like this, it reminds me of my brother, who i hardly see.
you express great adoration for your little sister. and it is a well written.
thank you for sharing it!
thumbs up!

A very nice poem. The bond between sisters are usually close. I like the feel of caring and love in your words. A very good ending to outstanding poem of love. Thank you.

this gave me goosebumps :)...i know the feeling, although it is not related to a sister...

Touching Zanda indeed. I too know the love of my sister and it would be as heartbreaking if I had no contact. She lives in Australia so around every three years she arrives here in England to visit us her family. You have written your poem with such sincerity that a sisters love is felt deep to the core as you have written it from the bottom of your heart. Take care. What happened to your sister? Is there reasons why you cannot have contact.? Not being nosey my friend just concerned for you. Annexxx
