VictoriaA Poem by Cats EyeDedicated to my baby sister, who I never get to see anymore.
I remember when you were small
You were as bright as the midday sun
Your laugh was so adorable
You had no teeth but still loved to smile
I remember when you were small
Your hand fit in the palm of mine
Your were so sweet and innocent
You hand that mischievous glint in you eye
I remember when you were small
When I was crying you’d be there
Asking what was wrong
Making sure that you brought a smile to you big sisters face
I remember when you were small
We used to play video games
You would always manage to win
Even if you were only four
I remember when you were small
You used to wake me up in the morning
We’d go down and eat our breakfast together
And then sit and watch all you Disney movies together
I remember when you were small
You used to play with my hair
Put play make-up on me
And return my glasses to me with my lenses full of smudges
I remember when you were small
I got to hear your voice everyday
Now I get to here it only every now and then
When it’s time to get off the phone, its just so hard to let you go.
