This is dedicated to my deceased Grandmother.

Every time I hear your voice

It’s been so long

Since I’ve felt the hug of a loving grandmother

Since I’ve been wrapped in your arms when sad

My heart begins to ache just thinking of them

 

Ever time I think of you

My heart begins to ache

I know you’re gone from this life

You’ve moved onto another

 

Every time I think of you

My heart begins to ache

It is hard to understand why you had to go

You were such a loving and understanding person

 

Every time I think of you

I know you’re in a better place

Yet you’re still in my heart

 

Every time I think of you

My heart begins to ache

Your hand was so warm

And you heart beat loudly from all your love.

I can feel the emotion resonating off this poem just as I would feel the sun on my back. I can't say I relate because I haven't been too emotionally attache to my grandparents but what you portray in this poem is something special. Use it to your advantage.
