Imperfect Souls

Imperfect Souls

A Poem by Zan

One day we'll be old and grey,
with wrinkles and spots of age,
"some day" is a phrase we'll never use.

Memories of foreign lands,
scars and our wedding bands,
the last remnants of our fading youth.

Lets be those two imperfect souls
who just won't give up
on a perfect love.

Lets be those two stubborn friends,
wreaking havoc
hand in hand.

So lets collect all our dreams,
all the "some days" and "one days"
and "in the future, maybe.."

and we'll be those two stubborn friends
wreaking havoc
hand in hand.

We'll be those two imperfect souls
who just won't give up
on a perfect love.

And you know it's true...
I'll be dancing in the rain...
as long as I have you
