Bed of Broken Glass

Bed of Broken Glass

A Poem by Zan
"

It's more of a song really

"
On a bed of broken glass
in a house of shattered dreams
lays a group of swollen hearts
don't make them bleed

There's a city without hope
in a land of graying green
nature's precious jewels
don't make them scream

When you cannot carry on
and lights all to fade to black
there's a bed of broken glass
can you make your way back?

To the city with the sun
that never seems to fade away
even the darkest night
becomes a brand new day

All the people laugh and cheer
even as death draws them near
they are unafraid
by their beds they prey

But there's a bed of broken glass
and a house of shattered dreams
go join the swollen hearts
if I cannot make you see

The city with the sun
that never seems to fade away
even the darkest night
becomes a brand new day

The people laugh and cheer
they are unafraid;
even the darkest night
becomes a new day
