Dead Roses

Dead Roses

A Chapter by Linis Arizen

Circling a patch of Dead Roses
Hovering like a humming bird
Waiting

Stumbles
Tripping over a dead branch
Hits the dirt like a plastic cup
Staring

Lays there watching the surroundings
Observing like a deaf boy in a new environment
The ground dries as it closes around the dead roses
The area around my body grows cold like my heart
Hurting

Like a broken cooler of freezing water
Like a virus, the cold-ness consumes everything around me
The dead roses unaffected, sit there staying the same as before
I lay there as everythign goes numb, as the surroundings grow darker and colder
Like an empty bottle, I lay there
Wondering

Waiting for the Roses to bloom and come to live
Staring at my mistakes as the Roses still remain dead
Hurting from the inside as my heart freezes over again
Wondering if the Roses will ever come back to life

I lay there
As I become one with the Dead Roses
