Moonlight Sonata

Moonlight Sonata

A Chapter by Linis Arizen

Moonlight Sonata

 Under the Moonlight
Where all glows in a radiance of Passion

 Flowers glow in anticipation
 Glee
 And Beauty

 Lightning Bugs flutter around
 Glowing with Feeling
 Like Stars here on Earth

 Beings of Light and Emotion
Dance around with Passion in their Hearts

 The Moonlight Glows upon them
Lighting their stage as they dance

 Cloaking everything else in Darkness
 The Lightning Bugs go around
 Slightly lighting the Darkness

The Flowers glow as the Moonlight hits them
Forming a solid silver glow on the ground
Like a brand new white carpet

 The Beings Dance around, glowing
 With Passion
 Feeling
 and Emotion, Unaware.

 As the Moon Glows,
 Forming their brilliant silver stage

Giving the Darkness a bitter form
 The Lightning bugs dim out
Like a bored audience at a poor play

The Flowers in the dark slowly die out and wither away
 Lacking Emotion and Feeling

 The Beings Dance Carelessly,
 Full of Emotion and Joy
 Unbeknown of their Dark Audience

 The Moonlight Glows More Brilliant
The Darkness deepens as a being is pushed away

 Clasped within Darkness
 Lack of feelings
 Full of Envy

 Enraged
 The Lightning Bugs dim out
 Giving the Darkness prompt role

 The Beings dancing Away
 Never Noticed their stage
 Slowly get small

 The Moonlight slowly dims
 As the Darkness surrounds them

 It engulfs them

The Flowers that glowed with passion
 Dim and Wither away

 The Brilliant Silver Stage
 Rots away to nothing

The Beings struggle against the darkness
 Their Passion turns to Fright
Their Emotions Pour out in Sadness and Pain
 Till their glow finally disappears

 The Glow dims out,
Leaving nothing but a shadow of what it once was,
 A Stage of Shadow

 One Being remains
Sitting in the middle of it all

 Feeling Nothing
 No Emotion
 No Passion
 No Remorse.

I like how everything commences happily and then ends bitterly.
It's beautiful.
