Ultramodern Bondage

Ultramodern Bondage

A Poem by Zammy Whiz
"

We are the consumerism zombie generation.

"
I raise my head,
and, look beyond the sea,
beyond the forefront forest,
past the humming of the insects,
I can see the adulterated creature.
Glutting daylight and darkness.
Masking his pain with addiction.
uncovering severity, but;
unknowingly and mindlessly.
It has become so frightening,
so frightening to live now.

I'd desire to stir them,
but, they're in a daze.
Their minds are preoccupied,
with sheer desultory speech.
Too difficult to grasp fully.
The disarray emotions,
bloom at the prison corners.
It has become so frightening,
so scary to be alive now.

The hum of the insects,
the magnificent sound,
'chirp', 'chirp', 'chirp',
the bleating frogs are unrestrained,
waved and morphed their sounds,
creating an elegant rhythm.
As well as the dawn sea breeze,
was what seemed original,
resonates and dense,
was what acknowledged my existence.
