NEVER AGAINA Poem by Zamantungwa Da PoetessFrom the heart
Never again
Will I be that little adorable girl The one who laughed at everything you said The one who thought no one could be more perfecter than you Never again The pain has taken away my sunshine The scars have replaced my beauty A frown is where my smile used to hang My eyes are always glassy Not because I'm happy But because I'm fighting back the tears Tears of the pain that constantly lingers Within the depths of my heart. I look back with the hope that I can, we can find a solution to this mess And go back to being how we were That little glance I take Brings back happy memories of a time long ago But also the pain of the crash our relationship suffered in the not so far away backtrack It hurts because Never again Will I be able to look at you and not feel the pain of the way you judged me and condemned me for sins unknown My love for you will never be innocent and pure I will always have the little doubt that you are loving me with reservations. I wish I could cry out the memory of the words you said from my mind, And curse out the pain the "I couldn't care less" look left on my heart, It can never be formed anew, I may forgive you in time but Never again. © 2013 Zamantungwa Da PoetessAuthor's Note
