I Carry The World

I carry the world,

And I'm being hurled,

Below the ground

I fall Down,

Down,

And i drown

As the darkness surrounds

No one hears the sounds

Alone am i hurled

Because i carry the world

Amazing how short poems can be so beautiful.
The poem is written in a very unique fashion and the change from down to drown is very significant in this poem, it resembles the change from ground to water, and deeper in the oceans where only darkness controls, and sound is no near to be heard.
Question remains for the reader: who carries the world? who is hurling the carrier?

why thank you very much, i try to incorporate a certain question with most of my poems, to me the world is life all the problems and even others problems that we inevitably take upon ourselves when we help them empathicaly, also the one doing the hurling is also life because, as we all know, life will beat you down and sometimes it feels like no one is listening, or that your just mute, either way that was the inspiration to the poem in my mind.

Oh that is just amazing. It incorporates all life situations in one poem. carrying the world as in living, and going down is as falling down in life, and hurling means the pressure and so on :)
