Famine ChildA Poem by ZallThis is actually a song I'm writing, so just the words without notes might not make a lot of sense. Sorry.Ooooooh Oooooh ' Please Saint Peter Help my starving child He's got ' No place else he can call home. So hungy Bones so small Nothing else to do but crawl And beg for just one more meal. Oh Staint Peter Help this child ' Hurts my heart to see him cry So small. He's so tired ' Can't go on ' Only want to hold him in my arms. And see him smile just once up at me. But instead I see him cry Sitting by his bedside asking why. Why can't he be like the other children ' Why can't he just go out and play? I sit up awake all night cryin' Can't watch the tears run down his face no more Oh no more. Please Staint Peter Help my starving child. All he wants is a place to call home ' I know that he'd be safe right there with you And there is nothing I want more than to see his smiling face Just once maybe up at me. Oh I can't believe this is my child ' So run down So weak So small So frail. He can not stand He can not breath all on his own Oh please ' I need some help Just save my child I swear I'll make it On my own ' Just get him out Of this place Oh Lord. My child's only four He needs some help So please Please Saint Peter help my starving ' Child. © 2011 ZallAuthor's Note
