Midnight Visit

Midnight Visit

A Poem by Zall
"

Ever get a visit in the middle of the night that leaves you thinking? Leaving a million questions unanswered?

"

Midnight Visit
I awoke one night,
Feeling the eyes of another,
They were watching me as I slept,
I opened my eyes and sat up,
Looking to the end of my bed there was a person,
Not much older than myself I knew the man,
My older brother looked down upon me,
A sad look written all over his face,
Millions of questions went through my head,
But he would answer none,
Only saying he could not sleep,
And wished to make sure I was alright.

The next morning I asked again,
What he was doing at the end of my bed,
With suck a look I had never seen,
Brining down my brother’s head,
But alas the answer he gave was but the same,
A different answer he would not give,
And that whole day he watched me close,
I never left his sight,
Whenever somebody came up to us,
He took a step forward,
Squaring his shoulders to make himself taller,
What was on my brother’s mind?

Still to this day I do not know,
What was on my big brother’s mind,
Whatever it was,
I know is still there,
For my brother is still always near,
No longer do I go out alone,
A simple trip to the park it is no more,
For wherever I go,
My brother now follows,
What had happened in that single night,
That kept my brother awake,
For something surely happened,
That made my big brother give me,
My midnight visit.

Author's Note

Zall
This really happened to me, and I just wanted to make it into a poem form. Still I do not know the answers to my questions, but my big brother is now always there. Sorry if it's bad.
