Loved Ones GraveA Poem by ZallSomeone once lost is never gone.
Loved Ones Grave
I’ll walk the rows and rows of empty silence,
Nobody is there but I feel their presence,
I look behind me as if expecting a scare,
Only to feel their burning stare,
The path continues never gone,
So why take the time and run,
I know it’s coming and I’ll never escape,
I touch the stone as I pass,
Hidden in some foreign grass,
Lost in mind I find a path,
Walking farther the eyes do follow,
All around I know they’re there,
But they will never scare,
They wait for loved ones to come and visit,
Maybe when it’s time for Christmas,
The snow will fall and stones will hide,
But their eyes will always follow,
I’ll walk the rows and rows of empty silence,
Nobody is there but I feel their presence,
I look behind me as if expecting a scare,
Only to feel their burning stare,
The path continues never gone,
So why take the time and run,
I find the stone and place a rose,
And feel the worming hands of a loved one gone,
I’ll stay and wait a moment more,
Before I whisper “I love you more.”
