Oblivious

Oblivious

A Poem by Zall
"

Those people who never see the bad things, only what they want to see.

"

Oblivious
What some people have gone through,
You will never know,
Your best friend strips for money,
Your brother sells drugs,
Your coworker lost his home,
This happens everyday
But you will never know,
Because you’re flying high,
Above everybody else,
Never knowing what’s happening below,
Your son shot somebody last night,
Your dads on trial for assault,
Your neighbor does meth,
So much is happening,
But you’ll never know,
You’ll never know.

This one has a lot of potentency to it. Pulsing with hard topics and social issues. WE see a person being described here that had become so lost in themselves and their make believe world that the world around them simply doesn't mean anything to them.
I couldn't ever imagine actually meeting someone one so far gone that they are no longer aware as what you have described here. I would think that a person would have had to have been on acid to many times and have fried their mind to get to this level of severity of mental obliviousness.

Great Ink!

Hugs!
Tara
