Outstretched Hand

Outstretched Hand

A Poem by Zall
"

Just when it seems our goals are within reach, they slip away, like a hand never reached.

"

Outstretched Hand
I reached out,
For the outstretched hand,
Only to slip away,
Farther,
And farther,
Till it seemed hopeless,
To reach,
To stretch,
To grasp,
The outstretched hand,
Our fingers skim,
I can feel the heat,
Only to slip away,
Farther,
And father,
From the outstretched hand.
