The Edge of Life

The Edge of Life

A Poem by Zall
"

When you live on the edge, you see life in a new way.

"

The Edge of Life
On the edge,
On the edge of life,
Looking down,
I can see the people,
The people full of life,
So far down,
Down where life is safe,
But I’m on the edge,
On the edge of life,
One step,
And I’ll plummet,
Plummet down to the people,
What would they do?
Would somebody scream?
Try to catch me?
Or would nobody notice?
Looking out,
I can see the mountains,
The trees,
The birds,
And the bees,
So far out,
Out where life is free,
One step,
And I’ll fall,
Fall down to the world,
What would they do?
Would somebody scream?
Try to catch me?
Or would nobody notice?
Looking down,
I can see life itself,
So busy,
So full of energy,
So very exciting,
One step,
And I’ll be there,
With the people,
The world,
And life,
I take that step,
And I’m crashing downward,
What would they do?
Would somebody scream?
Try to catch me?
Or would nobody notice?
But a second to late,
Do I notice,
That nobody is there to catch me,
Nobody to catch me when I fall,
But that’s the thrill,
Of life on the edge.

Author's Note

Zall
Sorry if it's bad, and it's about a person who stands on the edge of a building looking at life for the thrill of what will happen after.
